Driver attributes

• debug_level

  Read: reports the current debug level.

  Write: changes the driver's debug level.

  • 0: No debugging
  • 1: Rare and interesting messages
  • 2: More frequent messages
  • 3: Frames dump
  • 4: Frames dump with Z/F counters

  Note: This attribute is present only if the driver has been compiled in debug mode.

Device attributes

• fifo_state

  Read: reports the state of all the available FIFOs in the card

  Write: N/A

S/T port attributes

• enabled

  Read: reports the current state, 0=disabled, 1=enabled

  Write: enabled/disables the port.

  In order to avoid interferences on the S/T bus the port is disabled upon registration and should be enabled after configured appropriately.

• l1_state

  Read: reports the current state.

  Write: Writing a decimal number forces a fixed state to be set, writing the activate string causes activation to be initiated, writing deactivate string caused deactivation to be initiated.

  Example:
  echo "activate" > l1_state

• port_id

  Read: reports the port id locally to the card

  Write: N/A

• role

  Read: reports the port's role on the S/T bus. Possible values are "TE" (Terminal Equipment) and "NT" (Network Terminator).

  Write: Sets the role. To avoid disruption of the S/T bus functionality make sure to configure one and only one NT port within the S/T bus.

• st_clock_delay

  Read: reports the current port's clock delay parameter. Please refer to Cologne Chip's documentation for further details.

  Write: Sets the clock delay parameter. Avoid changing this parameter if you don't know what you're doing as it may disrupt the S/T bus functionality.

• st_sampling_comp

  Read: reports the current port's sampling compensation parameter. Please refer to Cologne Chip's documentation for further details.

  Write: Sets the sampling compensation parameter. Avoid changing this parameter if you don't know what you're doing as it may disrupt the S/T bus functionality.
